Analyzing the demographic structure of geographic ranges: Investigating techniques to predict geographic range size
Project Description
We propose to develop a technique to study geographic variation in the demography of species of birds in North America adequately sampled by the Breeding Bird Survey. We will examine a general model of population dynamics that includes geographic variation in density dependent and independent population processes. The procedure we use
will estimate parameters of this model using estimating equations.
